Lunch Anyone

We went to see Daddy at work. "I love bread." says Timmy eating in his bumbo chair. And a FP little people train engineer is in the other hand. He's always prepared and double fisted.

Grember Wedding

Our friends Randy and Sarah were married this weekend.
It was a beautiful day and they had a great wedding.
You can see my short hair a little better here.
We clean up good huh?

At the very VERY end of the evening, they played cotton-eye joe, which the men all dance too every wedding. There were only 3 guys left at this point. They still had a good time with it and even had a few others join in as they danced along. They were out of breath by the end of that 3 minutes.

Locks of Love and curly Qs

This is me on Monday, Sept 24th. I had enough of this long hair. I was growing it for LOL the whole time, for my 2nd or 3rd time donation. But this year, I was trying to get a bit longer for them and for me after the cut was complete.
Not bad huh! They took 10 inches for the donation, and I'm still at shoulder length. She cut the back really cute too. It was time and it feels pretty good!
So, it was also time for Timothy's first hair cut. On the previous Friday we took family pictures and once I had the hair documented, I promised Todd I'd get his hair cut. It's hard to tell here, but he has the curly Qs on the sides and back.
And now he looks like such a little boy. No longer a baby! Doesn't he look like he's 2 or something. One hair cut and he's all grown up, what happened here?!
It's been a few days now, so I'm getting over it. The initial shock was too much!
And he was not happy about getting a hair cut either. Another little boy was in being "held down" by his parents to get the buzz cut done. It did not make for a good first time at kidsnips.
Thank heavens for animal crackers!

Mt Prospect FD Open House

FF POC Todd Sulak give us a tour of the "house".

He was so excited! He was working the OH along with many others. This was his break time and gave us a tour.

This view overlooks the train station. It's an awesome balcony/patio. Too bad the FF cannot use it. Can you believe someone actually called into the FD/PD and said they were making too much noise. It didnt look like they were "working". The FF were cooking dinner on the grill vs in the kitchen enjoying each others company on the balcony.

Some people I just dont understand.

This is inside the trailer they use to show kids/families safety tips. Here we are in the "kitchen". Dont touch the stove/oven. How do you call for help....

Then it was off to a bedroom example where FF Todd explained how to stay safe if the door is hot, dont open it. Stay low to the ground. Good teacher!

It's hard to tell here, but he's on his knees the whole time he's talking to the kids/parents. His legs were SO very sore the next day. Nextime, I think he'll take turns with the kitchen or maybe get firepole duty?

Megan was so excited about Todd being a part of this whole deal. She ended up "working" with daddy. Here she is telling the people in line about the demontrations they had earlier with a fire of a living room with and without sprinklers. Next time you see her, ask her about it. She was so adult about her conversation!

And of course we ran into SO many friends. below here is Cathrine and her 2 sisters.

Mr Miller. He's on the POCs and a fire investigator for MP. Megan triped and skinned her knee. He came to the rescue!
The Morrisons and Kalinowski's!
and neighbors McCarrons down below. It was a fun day!

Timmy is on the move

What a ham!
Timothy is truly MOVING. He's still crawling, but as you can see, he's standing up on whatever he can reach for. He loves the bathrooms, I even caught him with little people in the toilet. AH OH is right. Another reason for the lid to be down ALL THE TIME! We now close the bathroom doors when not in use. Timmy Timmy Timmy. His crawling has improved and he's very very fast on his tummy. He has gotten on his knees a few times, but it must depend on the flooring. On the kitchen "tile" he's ok on the knees, but as soon as he moves to carpet or hardwood, he's back to belly (army crawl). He hasn't been very interested in crusing anything yet (taking any steps away while standing).

Elk Grove Touch a Truck & Pirates Cove day

What a good sister Megan is. She was so good about sharing with Timothy and letting him sit on her lap to enjoy the Touch a Truck event. There were all sizes and shapes of "trucks" and they both had a great time.

"born into construction!"

This is at Pirates Cove. The event was in the PC parking lot, so it was hard to pass up the chance to do this too. Todd was working a FD job, so we "found something to do". Gotta bring home the bacon!
It was a beautiful day and we did have a good time!

Kohl's Museum with Megan cubed

Megan Puchetti and Megan went for a day at Kohl's. It was a ton of fun and they had a great time together. They are both in K, but different schools so we don't to see each other as often.
In the baby room
At Dominick's shopping
Potbelly's making great sandwiches!

and the animal hospital. Megan S wants to be a Vet. Did you know that?

A Trip to Foundation Drilling

We took a journey to Wheeling to see Daddy and Papa working (switching cars to pick up Megans' new bed.. soon to be posted). Timmy was not interested in having Papa hold him. I think he need some extra Papa time! Megan is all about "working".

Sammy Girl

As time passes, and additional children come along, my poor Sammy girl is the one who gets the short end of the stick. This includes picture taking, which I don't think she's a fan of anyway and not missing anything. But still, she is a part of our family and will be 13 soon. I figured this is a good of picture as any, and for those of you who have never seen her, and wonder who that Sammy is they keep referring too on their Christmas card.. here she is. Sweet old thing, huh? It's actually a very fluffy soft dog she is laying on.. ironic?

Because I said so....

As I continue to share my blog with family and friends, I was greeted tonight with another blog. A very popular blog. You should take a look. But beware. It's extremely popular and I don't know how this mom can possibly keep up with her posts. It seems almost daily and she is REALLY funny just talking about day to day stuff. "it's a show [post] about nothing"-Seinfeld. And we all know how funny that turned out to be. She's been interviewed by newspapers and radio shows. I've added the link to the CHECK IT OUT section - along with my business website.. so check that out too! cheers.

Happy Grandparents Day

Trying to be good and remember all the holidays, even if they don't effect me directly, we come to Grandparents Day (Sunday, Sept 9) We took this picture of the kids and sent to Grandma/Papa and Grandpa Carl and Cheryl. It sure was weird not getting a card for Grandma Nancy. Miss you Mom.
Here Timmy is just chillin out. Look at those cute toes!
What a HAM!

Hello Race Fans

Thank you Uncle Mike. Due to Mike's flying days, he was unable to attend the race on Sunday with Todd as planned. So, instead we turned it into a family event. With only 2 tickets, I had no plans to actually enter the race itself. We walked around the very large vendor tents and looked at all the stuff we cannot afford to buy. But, had fun non-the-less.
Megan and Todd have decided we need one of these bad boys below to "cruise" the block!

Watch out Danica, Megan Sulak is ready to go!

This is where we left them. They have a lot of rules to get into the gates. People were not even allowed to bring in strollers. I guess where do you put the strollers once you're in there, but it's a heck of a walk back to the cars. So, Timmy and I started walking around to get our exercise for the day. When all the sudden, Mommy realized she never went potty while she had extra hands, and yep, I really have to go now. So, not leaving my child in the stroller, heavens no.. I held him as close to me as possible while I had to get into a PORTAPOTTY! yuk o ramma! Now, have you ever gone to the bathroom with your baby in hand? I have, it's not fun, but in a portapotty. Wow. He was not happy either. As you can imagine, I was trying to keep his head an limbs from touching ANYTHING. wow.. poor planning!

Ice Cream!

We had dessert tonight and since he's allowed to have milk, we gave it a try.
We haven't tried milk yet though.
He loved the ice cream!

Then we took a walk to exercise all that ice cream off. This is the first time Timothy has been in this specific stroller, and as you can see, he's holding on for dear life!
Megan is doing great on her bike. We hope to remove those training wheels soon. Helmet on, safety first. She is really good about that!
