Mr Beef Halloween coloring contest

We saw a few weeks ago that Mr Beef and Pizza was having a coloring contest and the winners would be announced Halloween night approx 7pm. Megan eagerly colored her masterpeice and brought it in to be entered in the contest!

On Halloween night we headed their for dinner when the treaters were finishing up around our neck of the woods. Timmy fell asleep before we left the drive way (remember that "I dont want to nap mommy" post earlier?).

He did wake up to eat and was interested in all the people around him. Check out below, if he was an owl, he would have been much happier to see...

And then the winners were announced! Megan was a WINNER and the first to be awarded her purple pumpkin bear. Too fun!

Happy Halloween

Once we had enough candy to last us a year, we came back home to hand out some to the neighbors. Timmy was bundled as the temp was dropping quickly, as was the sun! He was having so much fun, doing nothing..
"I am the master crawler. I can go anywhere"
In the washer we will go!
Megan being the best big sister, was watching over Timmy to ensure he did not fall backwards on the portch step.It was a great day!

A new toy to Timmy

This was a gift to Megan when she was a year old. Now it's a new toy to Timmy and he loves it. Just replaced the batteries (and a little clean me up) and brand new!

I have video, but I need to trim it up a bit to ensure it will fit on the blog.

I do not want to take a nap mommy

I tried to get a picture with him peeking under the bar but kept missing it. He was so tired but refused to nap on his own. Of course if I held him, no issue. With trick or treating quickly approaching, I gave up. I kept repeating, lay down timmy, put your head down. It worked for Todd the other night, I thought I'd give it a try.

High School Halloween event for kids

The student council put together an event for the kids that was really great. I wish I brought the stroller. Between Todd and I, arms were in pain. There were so many poeple it was a big hit.

Megan the cheerleader and Timmy the football player.

Boosical Chairs

Pumpkin bowling

caught up with a few friends, Julie and Colleen (they were both witches) and Tigger too!AND A FASHION SHOW!

There was so much more we didnt see too!

Can't wait till next year!

pre-Halloween at school

It's a bit silly, but understandable. The K kids have their party on the 30th to avoid conflicts with other schools that parents may be involved in. Here is Megan getting on the bus with classmate Zoe.

Megan is a cheerleader

A parade around the school. Megan is the first of the stream of pink you see on the left side of the picture.
As the parade ends, she is starting to get a bit cold.

The all inclusive tricycle

Grandma Nancy bought this set for Megan when she was just a year old. It's in great shape and the biggest tires you have ever seen! She wants to pull the wagon, now that she is strong enough. It was so cute. Timmy was having the time of his life.
Some moments better than others. It was a whole block and getting to be a struggle.
Lovin it no matter how he gets there.

Kal x2 birthday

Josh & Haley celebrated at a pumpkin farm this year. Great idea. And it was early too, so we missed all the crowds!

Meg & Todd road the hay ride

Meg got a few rides in...

And a traditional picture with pumpkins. Tim was participating a little better this go round.
And we hung out with our friend Jake (and his parents of course).

A trip downtown

The train is so much fun with Megan.
We headed DT to see the family jeweler to replace my wedding ring after loosing it in AZ the night of my mothers wake. I was not thinking very clearly. So after giving up hoop for the hotel to find it, or to be lost in my luggage, I finally called the insurance to claim it.
Meg really wanted to sit up top. It was fun.
And Timmy couldnt get enough of the view.
After a long day, we headed home and Meg was all over the camera.
We even stopped in the American Girl store for Coconut.
Megan was such a good girl, she deserved it.

Green Meadows Farm

A neighbor, Jake's mom actually, mentioned this farm to me during the week and being such a great family outing. It was a drive, but so worth it. We were lucky too, not crowed AT ALL. It sounds like Columbus Day weekend is the weekend to AVOID. It wasn't too cold out either.
Take a look at our adventure! We truly picked our pumpkins from the patch. We even cut ours from the vine. Very cool!
And the pumpkin, any size, was a part of the admission fee.
Megan is trying to decide which is HER pumpkin. Did I mention she's 6 going on 16!
All the sudden while we were walking a speck of something caught my eye. I realized it was a grasshopper. Megan had not seen one close up. He never moved till I "asked" him too.
Can you see him?Wait for it...
I gave the pumpkin a little nudge to make him leave the leaf
Fruits of our labor.. hehehe
Taking a break to have lunch. Timmy is looking up at Todd here. "Hi Dad"
We milked a cow. That was weird, but interesting.
Megan and Todd are making "music". very clever!
What exactly is a camel's purpose on a farm again?
It was the end of an eventful day! Nap time anyone?
