This is our setup for Timmy's bath. We have a room with 2 sinks and nothing else and there is a large area between the sinks perfect for this tub. He loves the water and I don't have to hunch of the tub in the processes. This day he was just extra silly with the water. We found that these sponges stick to surfaces once they are wet. Including Timmy's hair. He was so funny about it. Especially when he saw himself in the mirror!

Tree Trimming
We planned a head when we put things in the crawl space last year to have the ornaments in the front, easy access. In addition, we were smart and didn't put the tree in the crawl space at all. We have a little cubby under the stairs in the living room that fits perfectly. This is the tree we bought 2 years ago, and is 10 feet tall. Huge and pre-lite, hal-la-lula! Megan is SO in to it, she was insistent we do the tree right away.
Todd and I took turns with taking each ornament out of their "homes". We have 2 boxes of this for this tree alone. We have our old tree (not pre-lite) and still sitting bare in the living room, with additional ornaments still to unpack. I think we need a new system. Does anyone use those plastic solutions with the dividers? Does that work for glass or fragile ornaments well?

Happy Thanksgiving
We had a great day with family on Thanksgiving. Dinner was great and all the kids were too, all 11 of them ranging from 15m-9years. They are starting to take over...
The name tag was for your drink.. I never got one...so I wore it. And if you look closely, you'll see it's Brandy. Guess I need a few more years in the family huh...
Megan and her Godfather, Robby
They kids all went to watch Charlotte's Web.

Then we had a kiddie concert to end the evening.

Fall into Autumn
Our tree is one of the very last to drop its leaves. Thank goodness the village decided to extend the pick up one more week or we'd be still out there bagging leaves now. It was overnight that about 90% fell from our tree. The neighbors are all bare. We will still have more raking to do.
When Meg got off the bus Friday and saw all the leaves, she immediately went for the rake, in the garage, by herself. She was determined to have the highest leave pile ever. She watched in the morning before the bus, it was like snow falling but with leaves. We got Timmy out there to enjoy the leaves too and when Todd came home, we made it a full family event. It was just chilly enough to feel good and enjoy it. We, as all our neighbors, spent all Sunday raking (or mulching w/the lawnmower) leaves to the curb. The piles leave no room for street parking.
Even Sammy enjoyed the day!

Happy Birthday Happy Birthday Happy Happy Birthday to you...party!
Happy Splashing Birthday, Megan is 6
We had a successful party at EGV indoor splash pool. The kids had a blast in the water and 1.5 hours was plenty long. Everyone was changed quickly and back for cake in the party room. We had such well behaved party goers, it was such a breeze of a party. I also learned to go with your gut on timing. I thought the party time was too long, but took EGV word for it, and still brought a few books to read. The party was really good to finish by 8:15 and I had pick up at 8:45. Poor kids, it was a long party, but they were all smiles..

Thanks to everyone that came and helped out! We really appreciate it!
The one photo I really missed was a group shot. Darn it! And my camera did not like the indoor steam from the pool area so my friend Jen used her camera (happens to be the exact same camera, go figure) so ensure we did not miss out on any photo ops.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGAN
We decorated her room with balloons and happy birthday decorations. Then six Mylar balloon on the stairs for when she woke up. A few misc hb deco on the 1st floor too. Unfortunately, she woke up at about 1:30 am and saw it all a bit early than we were expecting! I believe her foot feel asleep and woke her up!
We have had quite an eventful day so far. She missed the bus (after not getting a full night sleep, she then overslept and we drove instead. She wasn't so happy about that. They celebrated her in music and her home room, and she gave everyone a game of jax as her treat. When I got her from the bus, I gave her more balloons, and she was decorated with a HB hat too.
Daddy met us for lunch at Randhurst, did the train (it's already up for the holidays!), the carousel a few times and finished up at the paint-n-party store (all coupons for bday club at Randhurst).
This is a tea cup type ride on the carousel. I thought I was going to lose my lunch. Megan and Timmy had the time of their life! What we do for our kids....
After all that excitement, we had to come home for Timmy's nap. Not as successful as I'd hoped, but at least he cat napped in the car.
And to finish the night...the ball pit after dinner. A favorite (very inexpensive, $1) play spot.

Megan's birthday week begins...
Megan is 6 this week!
The week starts with a family dinner at Chili's. She would have gone to Giacomo's if they were open on Mondays. (We were unable to have the dinner on Tuesday due to Todd's CERT training class he's teaching). So, Chili's, the next best thing. She got the usual, mac-n-cheese w/mashed potatoes. Like a book. I tried to get her to try something new, but that didn't last but a few minutes of interest.Grandma and Papa added to her American Girl collection with Emily and Emily's recital outfit. Megan was overjoyed with excitement! Timmy added to her book collection with Birthday Countdown, and Mom and Dad improved the dress up collection with the princess dress up dresses in her size! She hasn't been able to fit in the generic ones for some time now. She was excited the whole evening!

A "quick trip" to the hospital
After 3 weeks of coughing and now very congested, I got worried about Timmy's health. When he was 3 months old, he had a cough and it lasted for 3 months after 3 different antibiotics. I didn't want that to happen again. It was a 3 hour tour. It should have been no where near that long, but what are you going to do. He was a good sport and the only thing he didn't like was the monitor attached to his toe.
